Cameron Hales | Branded Content & Editorial

Based in Melbourne, Cameron is a highly experienced visual storyteller.  With a background in commercial advertising as an editor, Cameron is able to direct, shoot and edit carefully crafted visual narratives, producing insightful, emotive and impactful films.

A graduate of The Queensland College of Art with a Bachelor of Visual Arts in Film and Television Production, Cameron first worked for Brisbane based Liquid Animation Studios as in-house editor.  In 2003 Cameron joined Sydney production company, Filmgraphics as an in house editor and Head of The Animation Department.  During his time there, he was mentored by highly regarded commercial editor Sue Schweikert and award winning directors David Denneen, Phil Meatchem and Graham Burfoot.  

Between 2009 and 2013 Cameron worked as a freelance editor for production companies and agencies in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. He's worked on campaigns for clients such as Adidas, Skittles, Foxtel, Qantas, Holden, Optus, Bupa & VW. In July 2013 Cameron relocated with his family to Melbourne, joining Method Studios and then The Butchery as a senior editor.
